Is the Ultrashape Treatment Permanent?

Yes. As the Ultrashape treatment permanently removes fat cells from the target area, any additional weight gain will be more evenly distributed around the body.

What Should I Do Before Treatment?

Nothing apart from removing hair from the area to be treated.

What Should I Do After Treatment?

You can simply return to your daily routine without interruption. No bandages or dressings are required. As the excess fat has been released into your circulation it is a little like having a large meal. So that this fat is metabolised, rather than deposited elsewhere in the body, we encourage a low calorie diet for a few days after each treatment together with some regular exercise.

Post Treatment Instructions for Patients

During your Ultrashape treatment fat cells at a depth of 1.5 cm in the treatment area have been destroyed or disrupted. This means that the fat they contained (as triglycerides) has been released into the tissues and will make its way into your circulation. Your body is able to metabolise this just as if you have had a large meal. It is possible that fat will continue to be released into the circulation for several days after treatment. So that your body metabolises this excess fat rather than stores it elsewhere in the body, we recommend a low carbohydrate diet with overall negative calorie intake for several days following each treatment. Drinking 2 litres of water a day and at least 45 minutes of light exercise (such as walking) each day will assist lymphatic drainage from the area.

Remember, the best results are seen in patients who maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
